Davis Marina Newsletter - Edition 1
This month BIA launched a venue specific QR Code login process. This process is available only to contractors who have completed the Davis Marina induction process and provided the required items. This can be completed by contacting the Marina ahead of the works in an effort to limit contact.
How does the QR Code login work? The Card Holder scans the venue specific QR Code on their smart device, taking them to a login screen looking the same as the tablet login. From here they can confirm the job they’ll be doing, the boat they’ll working on, or whether any special-advice works are to be undertaken. Once successfully logged in, they’re given a green tick on their device for visual proof for marina or site control staff. There is also the option to check out of site on the same device – very handy when they receive the text message of the site closing and they’re no longer on site.
Contractors who utilise this QR code system will be required to visually show Davis Marina staff the green tick. for entry to the Marina.
The QR codes are located on the Davis Marina office windows and are ready for use.
If you have any questions about the BIA Access Management System for Marine Card, please get in touch with our friendly staff.
Please see details of Davis Marina's COVID-19 conditions of entry. These are in line with the NSW Government and will continue to be updated and presented to Davis Marina staff, clients and visitors as required.
Transport for NSW Maritime developed a Hydrogen sulphide gas exposure fact sheet with guiding actions for vessel operators to help manage risks carefully and prevent issues arising.
This factsheet has been provided below as well as the link to the official Maritime website.
