Marina cares about the environment, and we ask our customers
to do the same. To help prevent pollution and protect our environment
we ask you to follow this advice.
- Please
keep in mind the current water restrictions and take every
precaution no to waste water.
- When
cleaning hour boat, use a bucket to wash and rinse
where possible, instead of running the taps or hose.
- If
you do clean your boat, make sure no soap suds are discharged
int the harbour.
- Make
sure that all your litter and wastes from your boat are
collected and disposed of in the bins provided.
- If
your boat has an inboard motor, consider using oil-absorbent
pillows to reduce oily water discharges from bilge pumps.
- Keep
noise down - loud music, revving of engines, and other activities
can upset our neighbours and other patrons.
- Make
sure that any matter or wastewater from cleaning or maintenance
work does not fall or drain into stormwater, the shore or
the water.
- Make
sure that activities such as abrasive sanding, grinding
and painting do not pollute the water, ground or air with
particles, dust, fumes or odours.
- Make
sure that chemicals such as fuels, oils, cleaners and paints
are correctly handled to prevent spills and pollution of
the ground and water.
- Please
notify the Marina office of any activity that threatens
or harms the environment as soon as you can after you become
aware of the situation.
